What earns this one a slot is the format: actual duplex apartments with kitchens, washers and housekeeping included, a hundred metres from the newly polished Plaza de Canalejas and its Four Seasons anchored corner of the centre. Garage parking, which we missed on the first pass, is a genuine rarity this deep into the old city.
